A two-day bake sale was held recently at Ballenas Secondary School, led by Grade 12 student Kristie Bush and her friends, both furry and otherwise.
Bush initiated the bake sale to help out the rabbits at the Coombs Sanctuary and founder of the society that cares for the rabbits, Susan Vickery, attended with a couple of the furry recipients.
“I just love the bunnies,” said Bush as her reason for doing the sale.
The girls baked and sold cupcakes and cookies, earning $177 for the Coombs rabbits.
