There’s a good chance motorists will encounter more cyclists on the road during Bike to Work Week, and Michael Adiscott wants to make sure they’re aware of that fact.
The spokesperson for the Oceanside Cycling Coalition this week put out a call for drivers to take extra care and be polite to them.
“People are the same people, whether they make journeys by bike or by car,” he said. “However, every person who chooses to ride their bike is freeing up parking spaces and road space for people who can’t ride. Look on them positively, because they are doing you a big favour.”
