A unique Halloween experience for children of all ages is set for Oct. 30 at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall Branch 211 in Bowser.
The Lighthouse Country Halloween Festival and Costume Contest will run from noon to 5 p.m., according to a news release.
Kids can win prizes for best costume, fill a treatbag, pose for a Halloween photo in a crazy picture booth, enjoy fresh local food, check out live music, eat pumpkin-shaped bread and hear Halloween tales.
Local food trucks, food producers, bakers and other community vendors will also be on site.

Local musicians, actors and volunteers of all ages are welcome to take part.
Tickets are $5 for individuals and $10 for families or groups. Sales will fund planned renovations at the legion hall.
Tickets include chances at additional prizes and contests, door prizes, coupons from local businesses and a treat bag for on-site trick or treating.

The day will kick off a planned series of community events, including farmers markets, artisan fairs and holiday marketplaces that will feature dancing under the stars, promoting local businesses and raising funds for important causes.
