Cosy into February with your very own handmade mug.

The Train Station Pottery Shop has been closed for January but the potters are opening Feb. 1 with a Sweetheart sale.

“Art is for every day it’s not just for special occasions and this something that is functional and it’s art,” said Jacie Herbison, president of the Arrowsmith Potters' Guild.

Everything in the shop will be 10 per cent off for the month of February.

The group is also collaborating with Bradley’s Bistro on Jensen Avenue to promote art everyday in the community. Each day the coffee shop is open in February (Monday through Friday) people can enter for a chance to win a handmade mug decorated with hearts and other warm images. A winner will be drawn each day and can bring their voucher to the Train Station Pottery Shop in Parksville and choose from a selection of mugs.

Bradley’s is located at Suite 102-191 Jensen Ave. in Parksville. For more on the Arrrowsmith Potter’s Guild visit www.arrowsmithpottersguild.bc.ca.
