‘Chesapeake Shores’ TV series to film in Parksville June 22

Production will be at Community Park, Weld Street

The ‘Chesapeake Shores’ TV series will be filming in Parksville again on Wednesday, June 22.

Production will take place in the Parksville Community Park in the afternoon near Arbutus Point. To accommodate equipment and trucks, parking spaces near the point along Beachside Drive will be coned off earlier in the day and released as soon as filming is finished, around 4 pm.

In the evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. filming will be at 162 Weld St. Parking spaces along Weld Street and a few spaces on the north side of Jensen Avenue East between Corfield and Weld will be allocated for ‘Chesapeake Shores’. These parking spaces will be available most of the day and businesses will be notified of filming.

As usual, the show will have security and traffic control personnel on site and signage will be posted at the entrance to the park and to mark off the areas along Weld and Jensen for the production.

The City of Parksville staff indicated they are aware this may be an inconvenience for park users and do appreciate the public’s patience.
