A few dozen Kwalikum Secondary School 2019 grads took a quick, chill dip in the Salish Sea from Qualicum Beach as part of the school’s annual Polar Bear Swim on Jan. 9.
One dog named Piper also took part in the swim, which lasted just a handful of seconds for some, and, for the warmer or perhaps more daring, a minute or so for others.
