COVID-19: Popular car show in Parksville cancelled

Van Isle Show and Shine annually one of biggest shows on the Island

The popular Van Isle Show and Shine that was slated to take place in August at the Parksville Community Park will not happen this year.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers have cancelled the event, along with the Saturday Night Cruise.

The car show is one of the the biggest car events on Vancouver Island with nearly 400 cars and some 8,000 car fans who come to Parksville Beach every year.

It is a major fundraiser for the Shriners Hospitals for Children and local children’s charities.
