Ereaders come to Parksville library

Technology isn't leaving the Oceanside area behind

Kobo e-readers are now available for borrowing at the Parksville library.

The popular electronic devices come loaded with 100 books and the library has access to an additional 5,500 downloadable titles through a shared provincial service called Library To Go.

Library manager Jamie Anderson said 29,500 e-books and audio-books were downloaded last year and 28,000 so far this year.

The readers can be borrowed for three weeks and include instructions.
