Errington school holds Grade 7 drive-by grad celebration

Teachers use hockey sticks to hand out gift bags

Errington Elementary School held gave graduating Grade 7 students a creative sendoff to the next chapter of their lives this week.

Students were driven to the school in decked-out cars and one massive bus. Errington teachers and staff lined up in front of the school, some armed with a hockey stick that was used to present gift bags to grads who stayed inside their vehicles to make sure that social distancing protocols are observed.

Some teachers had cutout photos of themselves that they pass on to students, who wanted to have photos taken with their favourite instructors.
