Cinema fans need look no further than Qualicum Beach to take in a good flick starting this fall.
The Qualicum Beach Cinema Society has started a series of screenings of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) films one Sunday of each month throughout the fall, winter and spring.
The first screening features Jules and is set for Sept. 17 at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 (180 Veterans Way).
Jules stars Ben Kingsley as Milton, who lives a quiet life in a small town until a UFO crash lands in his backyard.
The show starts at 7 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and are available online at Eventbrite or contact the society at tickets@qbcinema.org or 250-752-8449.

Future film screenings will be hosted at both at Legion and the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre.
The cinema society also plans to begin a matinee series of Harry Potter films aimed at families and starting mid October. The matinees will show in the afternoon the same day as the TIFF screenings.
Qualicum Beach Cinema Society advocates for a purpose-built cinema in town. Finding a venue with an adequate ceiling height for the desired screen size has been a challenge. — NEWS Staff
