Garage sale this weekend for Japan relief

Oceanside residents asked to give generously

Organizers remind people to come out for the Great Canadian Community Garage Sale on now through Sunday at Wembley Mall.

Scarlette Lexington, founder of the Passion for Compassion Project Group which is organizing the event, said they are still accepting donated items, but mostly they encourage people to come out and support the relief efforts in Japan by shopping.

The sale will run at the arena end of the mall 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 1, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
