People came out in droves for the 100th Anniversary of the Coombs Fair, with cars lining the road for miles in every direction.

4H members were prevalent throughout the fair, including ones from other locations like Salt Spring Island and Saanich.

The weather cooled down a bit Saturday, making it a more comfortable for both humans and the animals, but they still appeared to enjoy some sprays of water from their 4H friends.

The featured animal this year was the goat, and the Vancouver Island Goat Association had baby and adult goats as well as an interactive display with milking, cheese-making and other goat-related activities.

The Coombs Country 4H team delighted the audience around 12:30 p.m. when they did a choreographed ride to country and old classic music.
