The Parksville and District Rock and Gem Club holds its first fall rock and gem show Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 and 30.

Taking place at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre, the family event features more than 30 vendors from the Island, bringing one-of-a-kind gems, fine crystals, rare fossils and handmade jewelry.

There will also be beads and lapidary art, jewelry-making supplies and more, created by PDRGC members.

The event will also have door prizes, silent auctions, demonstrations and children’s activities, along with food and more. Info about the club, rocks, minerals, gems, silversmithing, geology and exploring the Island will also be available.

The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission for a one-day ticket is $3 per person, while children under 12 with an adult get in free.
