Loved ones remembered at Qualicum Beach memorial butterfly release

Butterflies were released in memory of loved ones at Berwick Qualicum Beach on July 7.

Sandra Odendaal and Doreen Sharratt got a close up look when one butterfly decided to stick around for a while before flying off with the others.

Proceeds from the event will help Oceanside Hospice Society continue to serve individuals and families facing end-of-life issues.

The Oceanside Hospice Resource Centre serves the communities of Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, Deep Bay, Bowser, Qualicum Bay, Errington, Coombs, Hillers and Whiskey Creek.
