Feb. 15 marks the beginning of the Chamber of Commerce Week in Parksville.
Joining other communities across B.C., and at the request of the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Ed Mayne proclaimed Feb. 15 to Feb. 21 as Chamber of Commerce Week in Parksville.
Chamber of Commerce Week recognizes the outstanding contributions that chambers make to communities across the province, and is an opportunity for Chambers of Commerce to showcase their work on behalf of business communities.
A strong local business community is a key driver of economic prosperity, creating jobs and opportunities for residents and supporting community growth.
A public statement released by Deb Tardiff, manager of communication for the city, read that the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to strengthening the City of Parksville’s business community; and that they help the community thrive by Chamber members dedicating volunteer hours in service both to local business and the wider community.
