Oceanside RCMP choir brings smiles to seniors with Christmas carols

The weather outside was frightful, but in some of the senior care homes in Parksville Qualicum Beach the air was delightful, filled with resonant and melodious Christmas tunes performed by the Oceanside RCMP choir.

The choir, after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, did their anual Christmas carolling that brought smiles, lifted the spirits of the community’s most senior citizens at different facilities in the region Monday, Dec. 19.

Dressed in their popular bright red serge uniforms, police officers along with their volunteers and staff, performed a variety of Christmas carols at Berwick, Egale Park, Qualicum Manor, The Gardens, Stanford Place, Trillium, Cokely Manor, and Arrowsmith Lodge.
