The Oceanside RCMP detachment choir has been entertaining senior citizens in Parksville Qualicum Beach with a variety of traditional Christmas carols.
Some police officers and auxiliary officers, as well as staff at the detachment, spent the whole day on Wednesday, Dec. 6 making their annual visit to different senior homes where they greeted and treated residents with familiar Christmas songs.
This year, the RCMP travelled to 10 senior care facilities. They include Berwick (Qualicum Beach), Eagle Park, Qualicum Manor, The Gardens, Stanford Place, Trillium, Cokely Manor, Arrowsmith Lodge and Berwick (Parksville).
Their performance brought smiles to the seniors, some who sang along, swayed to the melodies and danced.
