Members of the Oceanside RCMP detachment have been out in the community celebrating and spreading holiday cheer.
Support staff, officers, victim services and restorative justice personnel and many volunteers collected hampers full of toys, clothing, food and gift cards that will be delivered by Oceanside RCMP to 10 single-parent families on, Thursday, Dec. 22.
Since 2016, a caring local family has anonymously donated money, purchased items and decorated these hampers for families in need in the Oceanside area.

Local businesses, Restorative Justice, Police-Based Victim Services, Sources Oceanside Resource Centre and fundraising barbecues sponsored by Save-On-Foods also contributed to the hampers.
Delivering hampers and singing Christmas carols for residents has always been a holiday highlight for staff and volunteers at Oceanside RCMP,
said Sgt. Shane Worth. All of us at the detachment wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
