Anthony Fee was fortunate to celebrate his fifth birthday with friends and family just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
At a party held at his taekwondo club, Cascadia Martial Arts in Parksville, his friends donated money to the COPS for Cancer. Four members of the Oceanside RCMP detachment took the time to attend Anthony’s birthday celebration and showed the children their two patrol cars.

Last week, Anthony was finally able to hand over the birthday money he collected — more than $100 — to Oceanside Youth Officer Danielle Swanson. The cash will be forward it to COPS for Cancer, a program launched with the Canadian Cancer Society to support children and families affected by childhood cancer.
