Parksville Chrysler’s annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $11,000 for local charities.

The 26th annual Friends of Parksville Charity Golf Tournament was held earlier this month at Pheasant Glen golf course and saw 36 teams participate. The proceeds are donated to the Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach who in turn give them to charities in need.

“It’s a tournament that we put on through Chrysler, it’s been a popular tournament and we’ve run it for 26 years and we raise about $10,000 to $12,000 a year that we give to the rotary club for local charities,” said Bob Bourgeault, sales associate at Parksville Chrysler. “It’s just a fun tournament with a bunch of friends, family and businesses. It’s full every year.” Bourgeault said he’s thankful to all the sponsors and volunteers who participated.
