The Catholic Women’s League at the Church of Ascension will hold its annual Baby Shower, a fundraiser for the Crossroads Pregnancy Centre.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the group has come up with a way to stage the event without violating provincial health protocols.
Instead of holding it for one day inside the hall, the event has been stretched out for seven days, from March 20-27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. To minimize person-to-person contact, the collection of donations will be conducted via a drive-through that will be set up in the parking lot at the Church of Ascension at 887 Wembley Rd.

The donations the league seeks include baby clothing in sizes six months to three years, particularly for boys, and diapers in sizes, 4, 5 and 6.
Cash donations are also accepted.
