With sporadic rain showers and brief bursts of sunshine, the prom parade on Friday, June 29 for graduates of Ballenas Secondary School (BSS) was tricky to say the least.
The first downpour brought audible shrieks from the young ladies in their designer gowns that rang throughout the school grounds at Springwood Middle School (SMS) in Parksville.
The umbrellas came out while others scattered for cover under the eaves at SMS where the grads marshalled before their caravan headed out to Ballenas.
