Parksville to keep picking away at broom

Invasive week won't know what hit it

PARKSVILLE — City council decided to continue dealing with Scotch broom as they have been, rather than spending $100,000 or more a year to actively eliminate it.

Staff brought a June 2009 report back to council explaining they are keeping it in control but not pro-actively ridding the city of the invasive weed, which would take a lot of extra labour.          — The News
