Hundreds of Parksville Qualicum Beach residents started 2025 with a big splash.
Residents of all ages bravely waded into the frigid waters of Parksville Beach for the Regional District of Nanaimo's 28th annual Polar Bear Splash on Jan. 1.
There were hundreds of people in Parksville Community Park to take the polar plunge or just check out the spectacle at noon.
