Residents learned about fire safety and the work done by Parksville Fire Rescue during an open house on Oct. 27.
There were plenty of opportunities to try out the fire hose, learn about first aid, test out a fire extinguisher, check out educational displays and even use a VR device.
Parksville Fire Rescue is planning for 2025 recruitment, seeking volunteer paid on-call firefighters.
