Qualicum Beach’s popular Family Day events are back for a 46th year on May 26.
The event includes a pancake breakfast at the Civic Centre, a parade down Second Avenue and an afternoon of activities, entertainment, and food at the Community Playing Field.
Family Day kicks off with a pancake breakfast and live entertainment at the civic centre from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
At noon the street parade will travel down Primrose Street, Second Avenue and end at the civic centre on Jones Street.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., there will be more live entertainment, activities, exhibitions and bounce houses at the Community Playing Fields next to the civic centre.

The day then wraps up with a free swim at Ravensong from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The generous support of the many volunteers, community partners and participants have made Family Day a success for over 4 decades.
Since 1976, Family Day has been sponsored by the Town of Qualicum Beach and organized by a group of dedicated volunteers.
Quality Foods plans to hold a special Festival of Lights Fireworks Show at the Qualicum Beach waterfront that night following the daytime activities. The plan is to stage the show from a barge in the water near the Qualicum Beach Visitor Centre starting at dusk.
