Qualicum Beach Senior Secondary School grads to meet for 50-year reunion

Organizers expect 65 graduates to attend

Former students of Qualicum Beach Senior Secondary School will mark their 5o-year reunion this weekend.

The Class of 1972 will get together June 10 for a grads-only meet and greet at Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course, according to Jane Fraser, one of the event organizers. They will also meet for a casual picnic in Coombs and an evening dinner and dance at The Beach Club Resort on June 11.

Some of the former students went to kindergarten together in Parksville, according to Liane Watson, one of the graduates. Others came from elementary schools around the region, including Coombs, Dashwood, Errington, French Creek, Nanoose Bay and Qualicum Beach.

Organizers expect 65 grads to attend.

The Gardens at Qualicum Beach sits on the school’s former site.
