PARKSVILLE — Courtesy of Quality Foods, hosts of the annual Children’s Sandcastle Competition during KidFest, here are the results from the event.

Age Group: 6 and Under

• 1st place prize: bike. Team name: Fantastic Sand Builders. Members: Khole Baker, age 6, Parksville, Markus Turin, age 6, Parksville.

• 2nd place prize: Mini Cooper. Team name: Team Ella. Members: Rowin Salaini, age 4, Qualicum Beach, Ava Alexanderea, age 5, Campbell River, Everlee Alexanderea, age 3, Campbell River, Kaden Morrison, age 4, Parksville.

• 3rd place prize: Nintendo Wii and cartoon character. Team name: Sand Blasters. Members: Kellan Patenalide, age 6, Linden Patenalide, age 5, Robbie Koenders, age 5.

• Mystery prize: Gund Bear. Winner: Efa Carrol, age 3, Victoria.

Age Group: 7 – 9

• 1st place prize: bike. Team name: Double A Members: Renata Camel, age 8, Parksville, Alena Chandler, age 7, Nanaimo.

• 2nd place prize: X-Box 360. Team name: Komoda Dragon. Members: Kaeden Letcher, age 9, Qualicum Beach.

• 3rd place prize: iPod Dock. Team name: Dumb and Dumber. Members: Carter Morrison, age 7, Victoria, Ben Tisdell, age 9, Parksville.

• Mystery Prize: PlayStation 3. Winner: Nolan Pritchard, age 9, Lantzville.

Age Group: 10 – 12

• 1st place prize: bike. Team name: The Lucky Lizards. Members: Olivia Williams, age 10, Parksville, Catalina Magana, age 10, Parksville, Hannah Worthal, age 11, Bowser, Sabastian Magana, age 9, Parksville.
