The former radio personality in Parksville Qualicum Beach was recognized for his unwavering and enthusiastic support of the Rotary and community. The Rotary indicated that Graham’s contributions to the quality of life in Parksville have been immeasurable.

The president of the Rotary, Bashir El-Khalafawi, and Rotary Foundation chair Lynne Pearson presented the award to Graham during their bottle drive at Speedy Auto Glass on Jan. 16.

The award was named after the founder of the Rotary Paul Harris. Rotary members received the Paul Harris designation through donations to the Rotary Foundation which are used to fund service projects both locally and around the world.

The award can also be given to a non-Rotarian, who exemplifies the humanitarian ideals of Rotary and who has made a significant contribution to the community.
