The Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach Sunrise held a bottle drive and raised $2,700 that was donated to the food bank.

The fundraising event was held Oct. 27 and approximately 27,000 cans and bottles were collected via a drive through method at Rotary House on Fern Road. They were sorted out and delivered to the Parksville Bottle and Recycling Depot.

The Rotary thanked the community for their support. The money raised was presented to Salvation Army Major Norman Hamelin.

The Qualicum Beach Rotary Sunrise hopes to host another bottle drive early in 2021.
