Search and Rescue members attend memorial for peer

Arrowsmith Search and Rescue among many groups who honour fallen search volunteer

Three members of Arrowsmith Search and Rescue were among hundreds in Nelson recently to honour one of their own.

Graeme Copp, Susan Thompson and Tony Toriglia recognized the sacrifice of 29-year-old Sheilah Sweatman, who perished July 23 after falling overboard while helping to recover a submerged car in the Goat River near Creston.

The locals brought with them a rock which is engraved with the ASAR logo, to be added to others from around the province in a cairn.
