Silver Spur Toy Ride a big boost for SOS Christmas program

Club brought approximately 150 gifts and $1,375 in financial donations

The Silver Spur Riding Club held its annual Toy Drive for the SOS Caring for Community at Christmas program on Sunday, Nov. 24.

A total of 38 horses and riders, along with a wagon and several club members, arrived at SOS Thrift Shop with gifts to help fill the SOS Toy Shop, as well as financial donations to provide grocery store gift cards for local families and individuals in need this Christmas.

The club rode from Ballenas Secondary School to Arrowsmith Lodge and then Stanford Place, collecting gifts and donations along the way.

Altogether the club brought approximately 150 gifts and $1,375 in financial donations for the program.
