A local youth group has burst its seams.

The Oceanside Youth Stitchers specializes in learning embroidery for a variety of uses, sponsored and taught by a team of members from the local Arrowsmith Needle Arts Guild. That group is a chapter of the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada.

The youth group formed a year ago with only two members and by the end of last season had over a dozen members meeting at the Qualicum Beach Library.

A new location has been found for the coming season, allowing for new members. Youth ages seven through 17 can join from the beginner level and up and no previous experience is necessary.

The new meeting location is the Community Room at The Gardens at 650 Berwick Rd. twice a month on Monday afternoons, 4 to 6 p.m, beginning Sept. 15.

An annual fee of $25 includes all supplies.

For more information call Pat at 250-594 5727.
