The Terry Fox Run raised more than $16,000 and drew close to 200 runners, walkers and cyclists from around Parksville Qualicum Beach on Sept. 15.
The event was held at Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park in Parksville and has been an annual tradition since 1988, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, due to COVID.
2024 was the 44th year the run to support cancer research has been held nationally in memory of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope.
