It’s almost toy drive time once again.
The 2021 Tigh-Na-Mara Toy Drive gets underway on Nov. 1. This year, the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort will host a modified version of its annual Toy Drive, with three ways for the public to take part and help make Christmas brighter for local residents in need. All donations will benefit the SOS Caring for Community at Christmas program, providing gifts for local children and youth, as well as grocery store gift cards for low income families and individuals.
TOY DRIVE BREAKFAST
7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday to Friday
Bring in a new unwrapped toy, gift card or cash donation during the Toy Drive Breakfast period, and receive a complimentary traditional breakfast of two eggs, bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast. Or purchase a traditional breakfast during this period and Tigh-Na-Mara will donate $10 from every breakfast sold to the SOS for their Caring for Community at Christmas Campaign.
TOY DRIVE DRIVE THROUGH

Last year, in terms of donations from the breakfast promotion, organizers collected $2,385 in gift cards and $8,572 in cash/cheques. Tigh-Na-Mara sold 270 traditional breakfasts, so their $10 donation from each was $2,700, for a total of $13,657.
Tigh-Na-Mara also started an employee donation program, where staff could donate to a bike fund, the result was 16 bikes for a total of 1,224 toys and 16 bikes.
