What was your favourite Halloween costume?

Parksville Qualicum Beach notables show off their best looks from past years

What was your Halloween favourite costume?

With the big day just around the corner, we reached out to some locals to get the scoop on their favourite costumes from past years. Here’s what they had to say:

Michelle Stilwell, Parksville-Qualicum MLA

Supergirl

“I’ve had so many Halloween costumes over the years, it’s hard to pick a favourite. If I had to choose, I would pick Supergirl. It was fun, light-hearted and had a message of female empowerment that I believe is important.”

SOS Admin Team

Lord of the Rings

“We were Lord of the Rings! We have a staff competition every year where you can win best team costume, best individual, and people’s choice, which we put on social media and tally the votes.”

Illana Hester, executive director, The Old School House Arts Centre

Pumpkin

“My mother insists I was a pumpkin but the makeup looks a little clowny. It was so cold so I don’t know why I was eating a freezie. The best costume by far because I remember being so warm and cozy and still very pumpkin-y.”

Keven Elder, superintendent of schools SD 69

Steven Tyler

“Just channeling Steven Tyler because, you know, Aerosmith.”
