Winners announced for Fire and Ice

for people's choice, Lefty's won for their chili and Hitoshi Shimmoto won for his carving

The winners have been announced for the 23rd annual Fire and Ice Festival on April 30.

For the chili teams: The Gardens won best professional, the Town of Qualicum Beach won best amateur, Lefty’s won people’s choice and The Gardens won best decorated booth.

For the ice carvers: Peter Chiu received first place, Hitoshi Shimmoto received second place and people’s choice and Aaron Grant received third place.

For the student ice carvers: Cole Mercier received first place, Tasha King received second place and Alexander Lebert received third place.
