The Yoga on the Beach had a great summer and has generated funds that it has donated to the Kidney Foundation (BC & Yukon Branch).
Charlotte Crowley of Yoga on the Beach presented a $3,070 cheque to Qualicum First Nation Chief Michael Recalma and his wife Sharon on behalf of the foundation.
Recalma underwent a successful kidney transplant earlier this year. It was made possible when Qualicum Beach councillor Scott Harrison donated his kidney to help Recalma who had kidney failure and had been on a dialysis machine.
Yoga on the Beach has been raising funds every summer and generously donating the funds to charitable and volunteer groups in the Parksville Qualicum Beach. They’ve been doing this for over 10 years now.
