It’s a good thing that most couples don’t want to have their wedding day fall on the 13th of the month because the picturesque property at Pacific Shores Resort and Spa in Nanoose was available for the Nature Trust of BC to hold a fundraiser for Moorecroft Regional Park on August 13.

At what other event in Oceanside can one expect to see a big, burly skirt-clad man vying for a beauty queen crown mixed in with zucchini races, music, a parade, a dance and other family fun besides Errington’s Hi Neighbour Day? This year’s event boasted hot weather and a blue, sunny sky, resulting in a big turnout, great costumes and a whole lot of sometimes edgy family fun.
