Comedy offering opens up new season for Beach Flicks

Beach Flicks is kicking off another season bringing award-winning films to the area, and the first one called Starbuck will play Oct. 19 at the Eaglecrest Golf Club.

The film is a comedy about a delivery man for his family’s butcher shop who learns his sperm donations have resulted in 533 successful pregnancies. Some of them are now adults and are suing the fertility clinic to reveal the identity of the prolific donor code named Starbuck.

Beach Flicks’ is a non-profit local organization in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Film Circuit, a company which provides access of the films to a network of groups across Canada.

The past two years were successful and raised money for organizations like the Salvation Army, the SOS, Haven Society and Manna Ministries.

Tickets are $6 each or a season pass is $30. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
