The 21st season of Bard to Broadway looks a little different this year.

Like many things, the Qualicum Beach theatre has had to temporarily close down due to COVID-19. However, they’re staying busy behind the scenes with board meetings and scheduling the next season, which will be in summer 2021.

“We know you miss our summer musical and the comedies we bring to you because it’s summer. Last year Hairspray delighted our audiences along with The Servant of Two Masters and Jenny’s House of Joy and how about the year before with Chicago which so many of you say rivaled the traveling professional production,” read a release from the theatre. “We love to make you laugh, maybe tear up occasionally and sing along.”

The theatre also points to their summer youth programs as something they’re looking forward to restarting next season.

“Look forward to A Gentleman’s guide to Love and Murder and Crimes of the Heart which we will be showcasing next summer,” read the release.
