Local quartet to dress up in folksy garb for special performance

Listen to music form the Baroque, classical and modern times at the McMillan Arts Centre May 25.

The Boca Bruda Quartette will be performing with flutes, piano and harpsichord.

South American tunes, folk tunes and more will be dressed up and performed as well as a couple jazzy tunes which will be arranged and reworked by musician Dave Klinger.

These include Swingin’ Shepherd Blues by Moe Koffman and Irlandaise by Claude Bolling.

The show is $15 at the door, including refreshments at intermission.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30.

Seats are limited to 60 people.

The McMillan Arts Centre is located at 133 McMillan Street in Parksville.
