ECHO Players present Cheshire Cats, a comedy by Gail Young featuring grown women, aching feet and heaving bosoms.
Follow the cast as they speed-walk their way to fundraising success in the London Moonwalk. The production begins Oct. 10 at the Village Theatre in Qualicum Beach, according to a news release by ECHO Players.
Directed by Michael King, this funny yet heartwarming play tells the story of Hilary, Siobhan, Yvonne, Vicky and Maggie attempting to walk 13 miles across the English capital in record time in their decorated bras and posh new trainers — but the sixth member of their team doesn't seem to meet the physical criteria!
Cheshire Cats is a cross between a girls' night out and a real mission to support a cause close to many hearts, with plenty of laughs and a few tears along the way.
The play runs from Thursday, Oct.10 at 7:30 p.m. to Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Village Theatre (110 Second Ave.).
