The Island Consort Chamber Choir will perform its spring program at Knox United Church next month.
The choir, directed by Bruce Farquharson, will present a selection of short poems by Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespeare, Robert Burns and Henry Longfellow. The music will include genres such as Baroque, Scottish folk, vocal jazz and plainchant.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on May 9. Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 13.
Masks are expected and vaccination is strongly recommended.
