Nova Scotia musician Jon Bryant is making one stop on the Island next week, in Parksville.
Named as iTunes Singer/Songwriter Album of the Year and snagging iTunes Single of the Week in the past, Bryant’s songs have also had major TV placements.
This includes music selected for the T.V. shows Degrassi and Rookie Blue as well as the HBO comedy, Less Than Kind, among others. And he’s been nominated for a host of awards.
Bryant’s newest album What Takes You is being described as a folk/bluegrass/Americana collection, including a cover of James Taylor’s Carolina.
This is Bryant’s third album, and last year he toured Canada and the United States, as well as some shows in Holland and Germany.
Bryant’s show in Parksville is being presented by Arbutus Events and will take place Thursday, November 21 at the Quality Resort Bayside.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Local singer songwriter Emma Plant will open the show.
Get tickets at the Quality Resort Bayside, Shades of Green in Parksville, or online at www.arbutusevents.ca.
