The Red Cod Forge in Nanoose Bay will host its gallery show and open house on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.

Red Cod Forge Gallery and Affinity Stone Jewellery will have its annual Christmas Crawl on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.

The gallery at 2155 Spurs Pl. in Nanoose Bay will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dave Kasprick and Debra Kasprick will help out Nanoose Bay Community Services by donating 10 per cent of sales.

They are also collecting items such as toques, gloves, socks and emergency foil blankets for Manna Homeless Society.

Everyone who makes a purchase in the gallery or donates an item will have their name entered into a draw for a Red Cod Forge sculpture.

There will be a demonstration in the forge, with guest blacksmith James Oliver, on both Saturday and Sunday. Kasprick has been in the blacksmith trade for more than 15 years — he brings in a guest blacksmith for the weekend so he is able to meet people and answer questions in the gallery.

Guest artist Kelly Corbett, west coast realist painter, will display some of her work.

The event will start a bit early this year, opening on the evening of Dec. 6 and will include goodies.

The Christmas Crawl is part of the Nanoose Bay Studio Tour, which includes approximately 15 other artists.
