The holiday spirit shines bright in Qualicum Beach.
The Oceanside Folk Roots Club will make a return to a traditional-style Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 17, at the Qualicum Beach Community Hall.
The performance will showcase Christmas favourites by the Island Brass Quintet, and will have a reading of ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’ by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.

Oceanside Folk Roots Club producer Mick Sherlock said: “We’ve always tried to do a show for the people who might struggle at Christmas. Something a bit edgy. But this year we need to bring the community together with some feel good music. It has been a hard year for some people… This is comfort food in musical form.”
