Oceanside’s own Beth Marie Anderson will be taking centre stage for one last gig before she heads off to the big time in Nashville, Tennessee.
The local singer and songwriter confirmed this week she will play at the Frontiersman Pub on Saturday, August 20, with special guest Laura Wishart.
The gig will be a bit of a farewell concert for Anderson, who, just days later, is slated to drive south for a second visit to Nashville.
“I’ll be there for four months this time,” she said. “I have a bunch of writing appointments, gigs and writing showcases lined up.”
She said she will be taking to the stage at such high-profile venues as the Nashville Palace, Hotel Indigo, The Commodore, BBQ Beach Grill and Nero’s Grill.
At her final gig at the Frontiersman before she goes, she’ll perform original material from her album, Open Road, as well as some of her neweest songs she recorded during her last stint in Nashville last fall.
There is no cover charge for the event, which runs from 8 to 10 p.m., but donations are welcome.
