The Parksville Museum will host a Mother’s Day outdoor concert.

Live music, including mothers’ favourite song requests, will be provided by Topazz in the gazebo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 8.

“The music offered will be a combination of swing/bright and merry/toe- tapping tunes and will certainly get you humming along (or singing),” said Allan Clark, the band’s drummer and promoter.

He lists Moonglow, Beyond the Sea and Just The Two Of Us as some of the band’s favourite pieces that many are sure to recognize. Clark will be joined by vocalist Gina Allan, guitarists Billy D and Jerry Schneider and Dean Williams on bass.

Admission is by donation (suggested $5 per person) to the tip jar for the band. Lawn chairs are recommended.
