Locals may want to contact their out of town friends and relatives to come for a visit this September.
That’s when Party on the Drive will take place, when art, music, food and activities for all ages will fill Resort Drive in Parksville.
“September is a great month here and Party on the Drive is one more reason to plan vacations around that time,” said event planner Carrie-Powell Davidson.
Artists from around the Island have signed up for the event, including Red Cod Forge and Affinity Stone Jewelry & Design from Nanoose Bay and painter Dan Gray from Errington. More artists are encouraged to register for the event now.
Food vendors will include La Vida Vegan, AJ Catering, Robarz-home-baked goodies, Extreme Eatz and Karma Coffee.
Numerous stages will be set up with live music including Kumbana Marimba, Peter Jack Rainbird, Dave Marco and Exit 51. A street dance will also take place throughout the party.
Activities for all ages will be found at the event including Bounce-A Rama, a mobile gymnastics group and SmartFitt hula hoops. More activity-based vendors can still sign up for the event.
Participating resorts on the drive will be hosting open houses for locals and their guests to check out during the party.
